First KODIAK With Timberline Interior Debuts at EAA AirVenture
Multiple Interior Options Available for Customers

August 4, 2008, Sandpoint, ID...Quest Aircraft Company has just completed a successful EAA AirVenture where it displayed the first production aircraft with the Timberline interior. Quest recently delivered the fifth KODIAK.

Quest is offering three different interior packages for the KODIAK, each designed to meet individual customer requirements. In addition to the Timberline, customers can select the Tundra or Summit configurations. The Summit features executive-style club seating and upscale cabinetry.

The aircraft Quest featured at AirVenture is the first delivery with the Timberline interior. The Timberline offers customers rugged comfort with room for all their gear. The aircraft features five comfortable seats in the cabin, plus pilot and co-pilot seating. Described as “rugged refinement”, the Timberline-configured KODIAK will be used for both personal and business use by the customer.

“It was great to be back at EAA AirVenture and to have a new aircraft on display,” said Paul Schaller, Quest Aircraft’s President and CEO. “Since our appearance last year, we’ve achieved several milestones, most significantly we began customer deliveries in 2007.”

EAA visitors to Quest’s booth also viewed a video highlighting the KODIAK’s field evaluation at Allison Ranch, one of the most challenging strips in the backcountry, and a true measure of the aircraft’s rugged performance and reliability. Images of the recently certified and delivered KODIAK jump airplane detailing all the components involved were also displayed.

Quest has seen strong market acceptance in key market segments, including personal use, Part 135 operations, government, and humanitarian organizations. Customer orders have exceeded expectations and the company has a 3-year backlog, which it is working to bring down as production ramps up.

The KODIAK’s rugged aluminum construction combines superior STOL performance and high useful load. It offers proven turbine reliability with the Pratt & Whitney PT6 turbine engine, is capable of working off floats without structural upgrades and has the ability to land on unimproved surfaces. The KODIAK can take off in under 700 feet at full gross takeoff weight of 6,750 lbs and climb at over 1,500 feet per minute. A 3-panel Garmin G1000 integrated avionics suite is standard equipment on the KODIAK.  Quest will also offer Synthetic Vision Technology on the G1000.

Quest Aircraft Company, LLC is the manufacturer of the KODIAK, a 10-place single engine turboprop utility airplane, designed for STOL use and float capability. Headquartered in Sandpoint, Idaho, Quest was established in 2001 and currently employs more than 250 skilled personnel.
