Engineer IV/V[+] READ MORE

We are seeking a Mechanical/Aerospace Engineer to join our team. This position will report to the Engineering Manager and will be responsible for developing processes, solving problems, and making improvements in support of the total life cycle of the KODIAK aircraft and across various systems (Structural, Electrical, Avionics, Environmental Controls, Flight Controls, Mechanical Systems, etc).

  • Counts material, parts, or supplies in stock and posts totals to inventory records.
  • Compares inventories to records or computes figures from records such as sales orders, production records, or purchase invoices to obtain current inventory.
  • Verifies clerical computations against physical count of stock and adjusts errors in computation or count, or investigates and reports reasons for discrepancies.
  • Compiles information on receipt or disbursement of material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies, and computes inventory balance, price, and cost.

Aircraft Maintenance Assistant/Driver[+] READ MORE

This is a multi-role position that requires a diverse skill set and will be responsible for providing support to several company functions such as Aircraft Delivery, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Client and Executive Transportation. Duties include washing, detailing and performing maintenance, repairs, and supervised inspections of various KODIAK 100 aircraft; driving a company vehicle to the Spokane airport to transport clientele and members of the executive team; and picking up and delivering parts between Spokane and Sandpoint, as necessary.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):

  • Drive a company delivery vehicle (e.g. box van) to pick up parts as needed.
  • Drive a company vehicle (e.g. van or suburban) to pick up guests or take guests to the Spokane Airport at various hours of the day, night, and occasionally on weekends.
  • Assist with moving aircraft in support of aircraft storage and delivery.
  • Wash and detail aircraft interior and exterior in preparation for aircraft delivery.
  • Understand the parts acquisition procedure in order to track and obtain parts needed for maintenance.

  • Perform routine cleaning, inspection and preventive maintenance on vehicles and report repairs needed to supervisor.

Under direct supervision, is an integral member in executing NPI demand requirements for engineering and transition to pre-production requirements.  Will be a key user within the MRP system purchasing/planning modules including testing, documentation and implementation of new processes and to help align and control inventories and spend. This position will be part of the NPI team including quoting, purchasing, sourcing, and communicating status and open issues within supply chain to the NPI team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):

  • Manages variables in the demand requirements such as NPI forecasts, strategic inventory planning, ensuring allocations for builds are coordinated.
  • Work within documented procurement/planning system that complies with purchasing guidelines
  • Lead communication for material availability and escalation of material gates
  • Facilitate supply chain transition as NPI product transfers to manufacturing
  • Follow up on purchase orders to ensure shipment as required (expedites late orders and reschedules) and negotiates schedule changes due to change in demand.
  • Establish strong cross-functional understanding that will ensure good operating policies and procedures, in cost accounting, finance, manufacturing, engineering, quality and other areas as applicable.
  • Assist Supply Chain Manager in negotiations of long term purchase agreements for new suppliers
  • Interact with Production control supervisor to coordinate flow of work between departments to ensure NPI schedules and requirements are met.

Position Requirements:

  • Minimum seven years’ experience in a manufacturing, purchasing and logistics environment.
  • Membership in APIC’s and or NAPM would be a plus or certificates in these professional areas
  • Basic negotiating skills and contract knowledge.
  • MRP modules (prefer 5-7 years) Inventory management, Quality and Purchasing a must.
  • Excel, MS Word, Outlook and PowerPoint a must.
  • Ability to assemble, lead and provide direction for team projects in support of process improvements, cost reductions and NPI activities.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business documents-ability to read engineering prints/drawings a plus
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts and percentages.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups on managers, VP’s, suppliers, clients, internal customers and the general public.

Responsible for deburr and finish operations and inspect flat and prismatic machined parts in the order needed to meet production schedules.

  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment.
  • Deburr flat pattern and/or machined prismatic aluminum aircraft parts using various hand and power tools.
  • Monitor parts for defects and highlight any issues or anomalies.
  • Perform Parts Tumbler maintenance as assigned and ensure maintenance logs are kept up to date.
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing, 6-sigma, 5S and/or equivalent methodologies to continually make improvements in safety, quality, throughput, and cost.

Position Requirements:

  • Two years of related experience.
  • Familiar with and able to perform basic functions in MS Windows XP, MS Office Suite, and Internet Explorer.
  • Able to read and interpret blueprints.
