Director of Supply Chain[+] READ MORE

We are seeking a Director of Supply Chain to uphold Quests values and mission and assure high quality aircraft by; managing and leading those involved in materials management functions including purchasing, shipping/receiving, and inventory control of material resources required for production. This person will be a key member of the Production Operations team and involved in the assessment, analysis, planning and setting of direction towards establishing and perpetuating the process of continual improvement in production towards a world class lean production model.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):

  • Understand and work within the FAA regulations to maintain the flow of materials to and through the production work cells while minimizing the assets needed to support production
  • Review our current processes as a development and certification company and formulate a strategy for modifications that enhance the timely availability of materials and utilization of company assets
  • Be prepared to contribute ideas towards and implement the strategies for establishing a lean production environment at Quest in which the self perpetuating goal of improvement is fundamental
  • Prepare a scorecard system of measuring supplier performance and a plan for gradually implementing improvements within Quest and for working with the suppliers
  • Develop positive relationships within the Production Operations management team and as a leader of the current employees within the SCM responsibility
  • Establish a self perpetuating process of continued measurement and planned improvements for all aspects of the supply chain while augmenting the production flow process
  • Maintaining a reliable source of supply for Quest products including long term forecasting and expanded relationships in the supplier community beyond those actively involved in supplying Quest at any one moment
  • Develop Quest as a recognized leader in efficient and professional operations and outstanding stewardship of all assets – financial, equipment and personnel
  • Contribute learned techniques for improvement to other functions as a key leader within Quest
  • Expand the vision of Supply Chain Management to include the prospects, depositors and customers of Quest products


Position Requirements:

  • 5-10 years experience leading a materials management function within a large systems production environment
  • Excellent relationships within the supplier community in the aircraft / aviation industry especially within those areas of importance to Quest.
  • Demonstrated positive and successful experience improving a supply chain process in a complex environment

Assembly Analyst[+] READ MORE

We are seeking an entry-level Assembly Analyst to join our Engineering Services team. The Assembly Analyst observes production work and produces approved storyboards that describe the assembly work on the production line, documenting all phases of the KODIAK 100 manufacturing process. The Assembly Analyst will work with assembly personnel, manufacturing engineers, and other groups to produce a complete storyboard describing the approved process for assembly. Candidate must be able to work as part of a team and within the prescribed style and format for consistency.

Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required. Experience in computer graphic design software desired (such as Fireworks, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc) is desired. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. Must be able to read, and interpret general technical procedures and engineering drawings. Must be able to write instructions that conform to prescribed style and format. Organizational and self-management skills are a must.

Job Duties -

  • Record with a video camera all of the assembly steps to perform a specific assembly task
  • Analyze recorded video and document with narrative and graphics each step in the assembly process in the form of a storyboard
  • Capture still images from the video recording to compliment written description of each step
  • Help identify opportunities for improvements and completes the forms necessary to document those opportunities
  • Administer the storyboard review and approval process all the way through to approval of the final storyboard
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and accurately in American English following established guidelines unique to this work.

Aircraft Painter/Helper[+] READ MORE

We are seeking a Aircraft Painter/Helper to uphold Quest’s vision, mission and values by ensuring high quality aircraft by spraying surfaces of manufactured aircraft, with protective primer by performing the following duties.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):

  • Maintains a clean paint booth.
  • Assist with painter to mask and setup for paint.
  • Changes paint booth filters as needed.
  • Changes respirator filters as needed according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Wears respirator at all times when in paint booth, while operating paint gun, sanding or stripping.
  • Masks and plugs holes on parts.
  • Reads and interprets Job Travelers, prints and other paperwork.
  • Mixes primers and paints according to manufacturer’s instructions.
  • Pours coating liquid into spray container and connects gun to airhose.
  • Adjust spray gun to regulate width and pressure of spray.
  • Cleans spraying equipment with solvent after use.
  • Sands, strips and repaints parts as necessary.
  • Performs touch-up and fixes as necessary.
  • Maintains paint tools and equipment.
  • Disassembles and thoroughly cleans, dries and stores respirator in sealed container after use.
  • Inspects parts and reassembles respirator prior to use.
  • Applies Lean Manufacturing/6-sigma, processes and procedures including 5S disciplines.

 Position Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of Windows, MS Office Suite, and basic internet use/navigation.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, painting procedures, and Job Travelers.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding and to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to demonstrate good analytical skills, alphanumeric accuracy, and reading comprehension.
  • Experience in aerospace (or related field) painting and technique preferred.

We are seeking an experienced Help Desk Level 1 Technician to help with on-site resolution of all problem calls, application support, configuring, trouble shooting and maintaining Microsoft Windows based desktops, note books, printers and mobile devices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):

  • Assisting in providing Level I Support.
  • Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Microsoft Windows based desktop and notebook computers using MDT and out defined deployment process.
  • Using ticket software to record, track and document the service desk request problem-solving process, including all successful and unsuccessful decisions made, and actions taken, through to final resolution.
  • Apply diagnostic utilities to aid in troubleshooting.
  • Access software updates, drivers, knowledge bases, and FAQ resources on the Internet/Intranet to aid in problem resolution.
  • Perform hands-on including installing and upgrading software, installing hardware, implementing file backups, and configuring systems and applications.
  • Test fixes to ensure problem has been adequately resolved.
  • Perform post-resolution follow ups with end user and team members as required.
  • Develop help sheets and FAQ lists for end users.
  • Assist in software releases and roll-outs according to Change Management best practices.
  • Adhere to site audit responsibility policies and procedures

Position Requirements:

  • Associates degree or equivalent in Computer Technology; or 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of advanced computer hardware, including desktops, laptops, smartphones, and networking equipment
  • Experience with Microsoft Operating Systems
  • Application support experience with Microsoft Office and other Business applications.

We are seeking a Technical Writer to join our Engineering Services team.

This position will be responsible for creating and maintaining technical documentation as it relates to Quest Aircraft products (e.g. aircraft manuals, parts catalogs, and field service instructions), ensuring proper standards are followed in the creation, maintenance, and/or revision of such documents.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):

  • Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.
  • Experience and proficiency in graphic design software desired (such as Fireworks, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc).
  • Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret general technical procedures, engineering drawings, electrical schematics, business correspondence, and government regulations.
  • Must be able to write reports, procedure manuals, business correspondence, and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.
  • Familiarity with JASC and GAMA desired.
  • Need to have basic editing and manipulation of still photography and video experience.

Position Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree OR minimum of four years related experience and/or training OR equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.
  • Experience and proficiency in graphic design software desired (such as Fireworks, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc).

We are seeking a Shipping/Receiving Clerk to uphold Quest’s vision, mission and values by verifying and maintaining records on incoming and outgoing shipments and by preparing items for shipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):

  • Prioritize incoming and outgoing items based on build schedule and company need.
  • Obtain and maintain a forklift license.
  • Complete Haz/Mat training and perform shipping of hazardous materials.
  • Obtain and maintain a Receiving Inspection Stamp.
  • Complete miscellaneous Shippers and create packing slips.
  • Process International Shipping.
  • Investigate and identify simple errors made in the vantage system.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Pack and unpack incoming and outgoing product.
  • Ensure paperwork is complete, accurate, and attached as required to incoming and outgoing product.
  • Utilize Quest systems and shipping/receiving programs to ensure appropriate shipping and receiving information.
  • Lift, move packages of varying weights to place in appropriate locations.
  • Prioritize packages by expedite and non-expedite labels.

Position Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Minimum 2 years related experience.
  • Basic user knowledge of MS Windows XP, MS Office Suite, and Internet Explorer.
