Aircraft Assembler 2/3[+] READ MORE

We are seeking experienced aircraft assemblers to join our team. These positions are responsible for intermediate to advanced aspects of properly assembling, fastening, and installing parts of the KODIAK® 100 Aircraft.

Duties include:

  • Performing a specific, specialized duty such as-aircraft electrical, aircraft plumbing, advanced aircraft fabrication, rigging flight controls, and/or preparing and installing class one fasteners
  • Assisting the team and acting as an aid in team development; assisting with the assembly of major structures, and installs and subassemblies such as bulkheads, fuselage panels, rudders, flaps and elevators
  • Ensuring and maintaining quality controls of designated tools or systems
  • Understanding and performing work according to the Master Production Schedule and utilizing Lean Production Principals and Quality standards
  • May be required to assist lead as requested with oversight of team members of designated tool or system.                                                                       

Minimum 2 – 5 years of experience and acquaintance with and understanding of general aspects of General Aviation manufacturing and/or maintenance is required. Advanced abilities with the use of hand and power tools used in the manufacture and/or maintenance of aluminum aircraft required. Experience with blueprint reading is required. Must be able, or be trainable, to competently install solid rivets commonly used in the construction of aircraft and aircraft assemblies. Must be able to select and use proper precision measuring equipment (PME) and have a high degree of mechanical aptitude. Must be able to apply common sense understanding, carry out instructions, and demonstrate good analytical skills, alphanumeric accuracy and reading comprehension. Ability to demonstrate high attention to detail and the ability to work quickly and thoroughly in a production environment required. Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Internet Explorer required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and intermediate math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of whole numbers, fractions, and decimals) required. Must be an excellent team player, be dependable, trustworthy and present self with professionalism. The right individual will be teachable and willing to learn. 

Although not specifically required, FAA airframe and powerplant license may be given preference. Other beneficial past work experiences include installing, rigging, and completing engine operational ground runs and leak checks on aircraft turbine engines.  In addition, knowledge of aircraft electrical systems, soldering, wiring and avionics installation, and conducting operational checks of avionics equipment found in a modern glass cockpit, as well as verification of systems required for IFR certification, would also be desirable. 

Computer based aptitude tests and mechanical skills assessments are administered to qualified applicants who are selected to interview. If offered employment, a Functional Analysis Test will be given to determine ability to perform the Essential Functions of the job. The employment offer will also be contingent on the satisfactory completion of a criminal background check and a pre-employment drug screen.

We are seeking an Industrial Engineer to join our team. This position is responsible for planning utilization of facilities, equipment, materials, and personnel to improve efficiency of operations.

Duties Include (other duties may be assigned):
• Makes measured improvements to production capabilities.
• Establishes work measurement programs and analyzes metrics to develop efficiency standards.
• Completes headcount and capacity calculations.
• Analyzes work force utilization, facility layouts, and operational data such as production costs, process flow charts, and production schedules, to determine efficient utilization of workers and equipment.
• Recommends methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste of materials and utilities such as restructuring job duties, reorganizing work flow, relocating work stations and equipment, and the purchasing of equipment.
• Participates in / Contributes to / Leads / Implements strategic initiatives.

A bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of industry experience is required. Lean / Six Sigma certification preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required. Must have excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to define problems, collect data, analyze processes, and draw valid conclusions in order to resolve highly complex issues. Must demonstrate excellent leadership competencies and character.

Must be an excellent team player, be dependable, trustworthy and present self with professionalism. The right individual will be teachable and willing to learn.
