Structures Engineer[+] READ MORE

We are seeking a Mechanical/Aerospace Engineer to join our team. This position will report to the Engineering Manager and will be responsible for developing processes, solving problems, and making improvements focused within the discipline of Structures Design and Analysis.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):

  • Design and develop products, tools and or systems.
  • Perform testing to validate designs.
  • Prepare requirements, specifications, and assist with the development of processes.
  • Perform research, and prepare documentation, reports, procedures and tests.
  • Develop, document, and integrate systems engineering principles, lean manufacturing techniques, and standard operating procedure into the engineering culture.
  • Develop designs using Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Plan, schedule, conduct, or coordinate detailed phases of engineering projects in a part of a major project or in a total project of moderate scope.
  • Perform work which involves conventional engineering practice but may include a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of standard materials, and difficult coordination requirements.
  • Provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Solutions are imaginative, thorough, practicable, and consistent with organizational objectives.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and 4-7 years aerospace engineering experience.
  • CAD and MS Office Suite proficiency.
  • NX experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in the use of “hand calculations” for structural analysis required.
  • Proficiency in the use of Finite Element Analysis software preferred.
  • Recognition of structures as one of many important systems of the airplane, and ability to solve problems with that in mind

  • Evaluates product design for conformance to engineering principles, customer requirements, quality standards, regulatory requirements, and specifications.
  • Evaluates and checks design changes and drawing releases.
  • Coordinates design, production, testing, and related activities.
  • Consults with project personnel and others to provide technical assistance and information.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and 7-10 years aerospace engineering experience.
  • The ability to lead a team of peers within the Structures discipline required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):

  • Ensure compliance with Quest quality systems (PC).
  • Verify that the Statement of Work and Supplier capabilities are compatible to meet Quest requirements and delivery profile.
  • Understand and work within FAA regulations to maintain a flow of materials to and through the production work cells while minimizing the assets needed to support production.
  • Coordinate the purchase of material; subcontracted parts, and direct and indirect items.
  • Track overall cost vs. target to ensure the MBOM costs stay within budget.
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing processes and procedures including; 5S replenishment.
  • Create Purchase Orders.
  • Process Purchase Order Requisitions submitted by various departments.
  • Respond to clearly defined production purchasing signals (Kanban signals).
  • Assist with purchasing administrative tasks such as: vendor file maintenance and routine communications with vendors.
  • Prepares and executes requests for supplier proposals.
  • Analyzes supplier proposals and facilitate supplier selection.
  • Negotiate non-disclosure agreements
  • Manages supplier program from original proposals through to delivery.
  • Communicates professionally and effectively with internal and external company customer contacts, maintaining effective customer relationships.
  • Contributes actively to the completion of organizational projects and goals.
  • Utilizes formal processes and tools to manage information in a timely and accurate manner.

Position Requirements:

  • High School Diploma and minimum 3 - 5 years experience in supply chain field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline strongly preferred.
  • Intermediate knowledge of best practice supply chain management, inclusive of strategic sourcing and contract management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Intermediate experience level of Purchasing Database and/or MRP.
  • Working knowledge of Vantage preferred.
  • Must be team orientated and work with honesty and ethicality.

Aircraft Assembler[+] READ MORE

We are seeking Aircraft Assemblers to join our team. This entry level position is responsible for properly assembling, fastening, and installing parts of the KODIAK® 100 Aircraft.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned:

  • Familiarization with the use of hand and power tools.
  • Must be able, or be trainable, to competently install solid rivets commonly used in the construction of aircraft and aircraft assemblies.
  • Experience with blueprint reading preferred.
  • Must be able to apply common sense understanding, carry out instructions, and demonstrate good analytical skills, alphanumeric accuracy and reading comprehension.
  • Ability to demonstrate high attention to detail and the ability to work quickly and thoroughly in a production environment.
  • Must be an excellent team player, be dependable, trustworthy and present self with professionalism.
  • The right individual will be teachable and willing to learn.
